Media Coaching Workshops
Before the session, we brainstorm with your internal communications team to clarify goals. Then we research your organization with the mind of an investigative reporter to anticipate the toughest questions you could face.
During the workshop we conduct mock interviews and offer candid feedback for each participant. We will teach you the secrets to incorporate your organization’s key message points into every interview. You’ll also learn how to craft powerful sound bites and deliver them in just the right way for maximum impact.
You will learn the insider tips and tricks gained from years of corporate communications experience that will give you the confidence to face any reporter, any time.
Our Approach
We provide media coaching in half-day and full-day formats that are informative, interactive, and entertaining. Experienced coaches are on hand to guide executives and staff on how to engage the media and provide a detailed analysis on how to improve interview techniques, including:
Media Handling Techniques—We provide useful principles and techniques for dealing with the media including information on the role and perspective of the journalist.
Role Playing Exercises—We develop media interview topics and scenarios customized to the client industry or profession, conduct mock interviews with the participants, and provide feedback of the interviews during the session.
Handling Tough Questions—We include a discussion and practice of methods for keeping a focus on the key messages while answering difficult or hostile questions.
